There are two types of plugins:

  • FileTypes:

In the Windows Store version of paint.net, the directories for plugins and Shapes are unlike. These locations need to be created manually.

First navigate to your Documents binder (this may be translated to your organisation language). In information technology, create a new folder called paint.net App Files
